Travel, intro to Glasgow, pizza

Friday was our travel day from Inverness to Glasgow on the (local) train which took over three hours. It was pleasant, and we had a fun conversation with two sisters from Hope, Arkansas who were traveling all over Scotland for over a month.
A very crammed (5 of us plus lots of luggage), but thankfully, short cab ride to our hotel, the Voco Grand Central Hotel. Although it is right next to a huge train station, it was the second train station, not the one we arrived at, hence the cab ride. It is another lovely, very old hotel, but the amenities and service are much better than the Inverness one. It has the same pipe glub- glubing noises in the bathrooms though!
A short walk to check out this busy town brought us down to the River Clyde, and back along one of the very lively tourist pedestrian streets, Buchanan street.
We had a fantastic Neapolitan style pizza at a place nearby. Walking home, the Friday night crowds were starting to get very noisy and a little wild. This is a young, vibrant city.
